CWG Members win at Old Mutual Trophy Wine Show

We are proud to announce that our members that have again triumphed at the Old Mutual Trophy Wine Show, that recognises the top local wines and winemakers, and honours excellence in the wine industry.

Judging of this event takes place at the Grande Roche Hotel in Paarl, where panels comprising of three judges and an associate judge taste and score the submissions in each class.

By means of the 100-point scoring system, they produce a consensus-driven result.

CWG Member perform at the Decanter World Wine Awards 2013

This year 219 judges from 27 countries around the world gathered in London to determine which wines were worthy of a Decanter medal. The panel of judging experts included 75 Masters of Wine, and 13 Master Sommeliers, top wine writers, and important members of the wine trade.

The 2013 Decanter World Wine Awards results are now available and the following the Cape Winemakers Guild members' wines have come out tops.
