Cape Winemakers Guild

Boschkloof Epilogue Syrah 2019

The grapes were harvested by hand in three stages of ripeness. 50% was fermented whole bunch press. Fermentation was natural in open top fermenters. A portion was matured in concrete tank to keep the freshness, youth and fruit purity. A portion was matured for 14 months in 40% new 400 litre French oak barrels. A special barrel selection was made for the CWG Auction.

Tasting Notes: Great fruit concentration, violets lavender and spices. The palate has lovely, brambled fruit and ripe berry flavours. Refined, melded tannins are detailed and complex. Great ageing potential.

Ready for drinking from 2023 through to 2028.
