All the wines that will be going under the hammer will be offered today, as well as during the Friday Auction session. This Virtual Live Auction will be held at the Lord Charles Hotel in Somerset West and hosted by Strauss & Co, South Africa’s leading art and wine auction house.
If you would like to taste the wines before the Auction, please purchase a ticket to join us for the Final Pre-Auction Tasting, which is formal tutored tasting, with all the wines presented by the members on the morning of Friday, 3 October at 09:00 (breakfast snacks served from 08:15).
This entry ticket to the Auction entitles you to snacks and wines from the members of the Cape Winemakers Guild throughout the Auction. Should you wish to bid on the Auction, you will need to register in advance.
There will also be an informal (self pour) tasting of the 2025 Auction wines during the Auction. Please note that as samples are limited, they cannot be guaranteed to be available throughout the entire Auction.
To bid on the Auction you first need to have a Bidder’s Account with Strauss & Co. If you do not have one yet, please create your Bidder’s Account by clicking HERE.
Once you have a Bidder’s Account set up with Strauss & Co, you must register to bid on the 2025 Cape Winemakers Guild Auction on the Strauss & Co website from Thursday, 21 August and before Wednesday, 1 October 2025. You only need to register once to bid on the Friday and Saturday sessions.
