The members of the Cape Winemakers Guild invite you to the 2026 Cape Winemakers Guild Auction Masterclass Tasting at Strauss & Co in Houghton, Gauteng.
This is one of only two rare opportunities to taste all the 2026 Cape Winemakers Guild Auction wines presented and poured for you by the winemakers themselves – the other being the Cape Town Masterclass Tasting at the Grand Ballroom, The Westin. This makes each event a truly special and exclusive experience.
This will be a formal seated tutored tasting of all the 2026 CWG Auction wines, presented and poured for you by the winemakers, followed by snacks.
Please arrive at 13:30 for registration and an on-arrival bubbly. The tasting will start at 14:00 sharp.

The Final Pre-Auction Tasting traditionally held before the Friday Auction session has been replaced with an informal walk-around tasting of all the auction wines, poured and presented by the winemakers, on Friday 2 October from 10:00 to 12:00 at Brickfield Canvas in Cape Town.

The 2026 Cape Winemakers Guild Auction takes place at Brickfield Canvas in Cape Town, conducted by Strauss & Co, South Africa’s leading art and wine auction house. All auction wines are offered across two sessions – the Friday session on 2 October 2026 and the Saturday session on 3 October 2026.
To bid, you will need a Bidder’s Account with Strauss & Co. If you don’t have one yet, create your account here.
Once your account is set up, register to bid on the 2026 Cape Winemakers Guild Auction on the Strauss & Co website before Thursday, 1 October 2026. One registration covers both sessions.
