From 17-year-old, virus-free vineyards on Delaire Graff Estate. Cool and slow whole-berry fermentation with limited punch- downs to manage over-extraction. Left on skins in full tank for four weeks before being basket pressed. Wine matured in 50% new 225 litre French oak for 18 months. Bottled November 2018.
Tasting Notes: Bold, ripe red fruit, well-integrated spicy oak. Firm but delicate tannins with rich fruit complexity, showcasing the brilliance of the 2017 vintage.
Ready for drinking now and for the next 10 years.
