Graham Beck CWG Extra Brut Chardonnay Pinot Noir Cap Classique 2018
65% Chardonnay, 35% Pinot Noir
Wine of Origin Western Cape
Crafted using whole-bunch handling and a selective pressing programme, this Cap Classique blend sources Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from diverse terroirs including Robertson, Stellenbosch, and Cape Agulhas. Only the finest cuvée fraction was selected after juice settling, with 20% of the Chardonnay fermented in fourth-fill Pièce Champenoise barrels. A uniquely South African sparkling wine.
Tasting Notes: Pale straw in colour, the nose is bright with lemon and lime aromas. Rich brioche notes lead onto the palate, where vibrant cherry and berry characters unfold. The wine displays a layered texture, a creamy finish, and a fine, persistent bead.
