Grangehurst Heritage 2018

87% Pinotage, 13% Roobernet

A wine blended from two “South African kids with French parents” – Pinotage and Roobernet. The grapes were selected from vineyards close to Grangehurst in the Helderberg region of Stellenbosch. Hand-picked and sorted, fermented in open tanks and pressed in traditional wooden basket presses. Aged in French oak barrels for 22 months. HANDCRAFTED – TRADITIONAL – UNHURRIED.

Tasting Notes: Dark ruby/mulberry colour. Aromas and flavours of cherries, plums with subtle oak. Some savoury, earthy, minty notes. An elegant wine with seamless tannins and a lingering finish.

Ready for drinking 5 to 20 years from vintage.

This wine is packed in a wooden box.
