Helderberg and Firgrove (Stellenbosch) vineyards. Matured in 1st fill 225 litre oak barrels – mainly French – for 26 months. Rated 5-stars by Wine Magazine. 118 cases sold at the 1997 Auction and 10 at the 2002 Auction. Tasting Notes Medium-dark ruby colour with garnet edge; complex black berries, violets, vanilla and cedar aromas & flavours; well-rounded wine with fine balance of fruit and oak; smooth tannins with a lively acidity giving the wine a youthful impression for a 1995; long, slightly spicy finish.
