Paul Clüver Family Wines The Wagon Trail Chardonnay 2024
100% Chardonnay
Wine of Origin Elgin
Sourced from the first commercial Chardonnay vineyard planted in Elgin in 1987, this wine holds Certified Heritage Vineyard status from the Old Vine Project. Crafted with a minimal intervention philosophy – no added yeast or enzymes and whole-bunch pressed to preserve clarity and texture. Natural fermentation and settling reveal a pure expression of Elgin’s cool-climate terroir.
Tasting Notes: Elegant and textured, with layered aromas of oatmeal, vanilla pod, citrus, and raw honey. The palate unfolds with white citrus richness, a saline edge, and refreshing tannins, concluding with a long, mineral-driven finish.
Ready to drink now until 2035.
