The Saldanha Wine & Spirit Co. Saldanha Pale Dry SEA, SALT, SAND AND WIND N.V.
Wine of Origin Swartland
A rare, handcrafted fortified wine made in a classic pale dry style. The base wine spent six years ageing under flor, with a portion diverted to oxidative maturation after three years to add depth and complexity. A small addition of very old Jerepigo lends gentle sweetness and rounds off the profile with elegance.
Tasting Notes: True to its style, the wine shows lifted aromatics of roasted almonds, marzipan, leather and dried apricots. Hints of warm spice and subtle oxidative notes add intrigue. The palate is dry and refined, with a remarkable length that lingers delicately.
