The Sophia is one of South Africa’s benchmark Bordeaux-style blends, crafted from estate-grown grapes sourced from the best vineyards at Jordan Estate. This is the 22nd vintage of Sophia, which has been rated as having additional secondary international investment potential, with previous vintages being re-auctioned by Bonhams in the UK.
Tasting Notes: Complex, dark chocolate, black cherry and cassis intertwine rich blackberry fruit, with hints of vanilla and spice from the integrated French oak. Densely layered ripe tannins add to the opulent fruit.
Well-structured, this wine will reward careful cellaring for many years to come.
